1. Project Overview
It is located in the hinterland of the Dabie Mountains in western Anhui Province. The area along it is full of steep slopes, undulating terrain, rolling hills and gullies. There are bad geological phenomena, such as soft soil, swelling soil, red sandstone, consequent slope, collapse and landslides, which are almost a geological encyclopedia for Dabie Mountains. Located in the mountainous area and 72.287 km long in total, it is a fully enclosed overpass expressway designed with bi-directional four lanes. Two design speeds of 100Km/h and 80km/h correspond to subgrade widths of 26m and 24.5m respectively.
2. Technical Features and Innovative Points
1) It is a resource-saving expressway in a mountainous area.
2) It is an ecological expressway of an environmental protection type.
3) It is an expressway highlighting humanities and safety.
4) The project involved the research and application on the design and construction technology of the Mozitan Bridge, the first high-pier bridge in Anhui.
5) The project involved the research and application on special geotechnical treatment technology for red sandstone.
6) Low-grade concrete piles were used for the treatment of soft soil foundation.
7) “Zero excavation" tunneling were successfully applied throughout the whole route.
8) Vegetation slope protection technology was adopted for the first time.
9) Based on the Shizijian Tunnel, the study on sound-absorbing and noise-reducing technology in tunnels was carried out, and the prospect of using clean energy such as wind energy and solar energy in tunnels is explored and studied.
3. Innovative Achievements
1) It won the First prize for 2013 Engineering Survey and Design Award from Anhui Engineering Exploration and Design Association.
